Nico’s repertoire contains over four hundred years of organ music. During the recitals
you
will
be
able to hear not only music from the early Barocue, but also modern music.
Nico’s CD
“Synesthesia”, recorded with the world famous Hinsz organ, contains such a wonderful collection.
Nico’s organ recital programme usually depends on the type of organ.
When the
instrument
is
versatile, a concert can consist of works by for instance Buxtehude,
Bach,
Mendelssohn,
Franck,
Widor or Andriessen.
Sometimes, however, when the organ derives
from
the 19th
century, a theme
can become the core of a recital: for instance organ
pieces by
Cesar
Franck,
his pupils, his
predecessors and his successors.
Nico’s repertoire
as a continuo
player on a
continuo organ or
harpsichord consists of big oratorical works,
such as Handel’s
“Messiah”,
Faure’s “Requiem”, Bach’s “Weihnachts Oratorium”
and “Johannes Passion” and
Vivaldi’s “Gloria”.
Several professional orchestras, such as the Dordts Kamerorkest, the Randstedelijk
Begelei-
dingsorkest and the Kamerorkest Continuo provided their cooperation for these
concerts.
For there
purposes Nico has two harpsichords at his disposal, one of which is built
by the
Gorcum
harpsichord
builder Boudewijn Verhoef. based on an original Flemish Ruckers
model
