by this Duo Vierhandig. The CD
contains two transcriptions of Liszt “Totentanz” and “Hunnenschlacht”,
a Concertino by Shostakovich,
a Tango by Strawinsky and parts of
the “Pictures from an exhibition” by Mussorgsky.
The CD was recorded
in the Buurkerk in Utrecht - Holland.

Gorcum were celebrating their third lustrum when this CD was being recorded in the St. Louis chapel in Oudenbosch, Holland and the
Ely Cathedral’s Lady Chapel in England.
The choir realised three concert tours through England, where they also performed in the cathedrals of Salisbury, Oxford, Peterborough, Southwell Minister, Lincoln and
the Eton College Chapel.

The City Boys Choir Gorcum was a typical glee choir according to the British style.
It was founded in 1988 by Jeroen Bal. The repertoire consisted of a wide
range of compositions from
different musical periods.
The choir consisted
of twenty boy’s voices,
complemented by
twelve
tenors and basses.
This CD contains an eargasmic selection of famous English choral works.
